Qualified Teachers Required for 1:1 supply work across Essex | £22-£30 per hour*

Looking for a teaching role with a difference?

Would you like the freedom to decide when you work?

Does working off-site appeal to you?

LOOP is recruiting qualified Teachers with experience of SEN across Essex.

LOOP Tutors work on a 1:1 basis with pupils who have a range of learning needs. Part of the unique group of SEAX Trust special educational provisions, LOOP supports young people from KS2 to KS4 through its bespoke outreach service.

You will have the opportunity to:

· Plan creative lessons with the interests and aspirations of the pupil at the centre

· Work 1:1 to inspire and re-engage pupil enjoyment in learning

· Change pupil outcomes for the better

· Access regular CPD and benefit from the SEAX Trust total reward package

You will:

· Be able to develop positive relationships with pupils in order to support them in developing their ability to self-regulate;

· Have an understanding of the needs of pupils with SEND in particular those with SEMH needs, Autism or moderate learning difficulties;

· Have a well- developed understanding of pupil needs in order to re-engage and inspire them to enjoy learning again.

All Tutors benefit from regular contact with the Head of LOOP, Helen English, who works closely with families before a tuition arrangement is finalised. A range of resources is available to Tutors, who often work together to share ideas.

Tutors meet pupils on a one-to-one basis in community settings and you will be required to travel to appointments. This is a 'zero-hours', term-time position and LOOP seeks a minimum of two days' availability per week. You will be paid for timetabled hours and mileage. You must have experience of UK curriculum, driving licence, access to a vehicle and business insurance. A First Aid qualification is essential, if you do not have this, training can be sourced. Tutors are required to subscribe to the DBS Update Service (annual subscription rate applies; not paid by LOOP/SEAX Trust).

Prior to completing a SEAX Trust application, please contact Helen English (Head of LOOP) for further information about the role: 01245 963002.

LOOP/SEAX Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable young persons and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to safer recruitment procedures including satisfactory references, medical and enhanced DBS clearance and previous employment verification.

Information about the School

Established in 2015, the SEAX Trust is a growing partnership of five Special School Academies within the community of Essex. We are a Trust which:

• puts no limits on what we believe young people can achieve - creating opportunities and meeting individual needs so that our young people can live rich and fulfilled lives;

• has the courage and drive to challenge and champion change to enable equal opportunity and equity for all;

• influences, respects, listens and acts and which, in turn, is known as a voice to listen to, act upon and respect.

We consider the main asset towards achieving our vision is our body of highly-valued staff and, in recognition, we implement a wide range of strategic and person-centered reward practices across all of our Academies and within the Trust's Central Team itself.

Working in special education is extremely rewarding, supportive and motivational and most roles require little or no prior experience. If you haven't considered a role in a special school before now, then working within SEAX Trust will not only enhance your professional development, but also your self-confidence and belief that what you are doing each day truly is making a difference to our young people's lives.

SEAX Trust is a Disability Confident Employer.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
