Lead Teacher for Dance
TLR2c - £2,721

Required September 2019

Maternity cover - 1 Year contract in the first instance

Dance at West Hatch is outstanding both within and outside of the curriculum. Our students, of all abilities, are dedicated, committed and passionate about dance and it is exceptionally popular at all key stages. We require someone who can deliver dance at examination level up to KS5, but also has the passion and devotion to the subject to continue the outstanding work our department completes outside of the formal school day.

We are looking for someone who believes in building strong relationships with students and is willing to go the extra mile to support them in being successful both in and outside of school. You would be expected to develop, plan and deliver effective and high quality learning experiences to all students across all key stages.

Staff well-being is at the core of our school's philosophy. We focus on what's most important so that meaningless tasks that have little impact are avoided at all costs. With an expansion of 350 students, links being developed with UEL to create a bespoke MA pathway for staff and a thriving Sixth Form in the top 25% of schools Nationally over the last three years; this is an exciting time to come and be a part of our future.

The Governing Body is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share in the commitment. This appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check and positive references.
