Term time (39 weeks)and 2 weeks holiday working, plus opportunities for additional hours
Monday to Friday 7.00am-10.00am and 1.00pm to 4.30pm (some flexibility)
Hours subject to change during school closure periods
An enthusiastic, reliable and practical person is required tojoinour friendly and professional team at this small, rural primary school. The role is varied, busy and requires a pro-active approach. We are seeking someone with excellent interpersonal skills and a 'can-do' mind-set. You must have an aptitude for cleaning androutine maintenance tasks; be able to work on your own initiative; be able to follow instructions and liaise with contractors and tradesmen when appropriate. Key duties will include site security, caretaking, cleaning, minor repairs and general maintenance duties, plusafter hours lettings and swimming pool maintenance for additional pay.A good understanding of health and safety principles is also required. You will need to be in good health due to the physical nature of some of the work and have a flexible approach.
Previous experience in a similar position would be beneficial.Training in safeguarding, health and safety, legionella and fire marshalling would be advantageous but appropriate training will be given.Qualifications or experience in a trade (electrical, plumbing, building) would also be desirable.
