Network Technician
37 hours per week - 52 weeks per annum
07:30 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 15:30 on Friday
£23,000 per annum (£11.93 per hour) to £25,000 per annum (12.96 per hour)
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Network Technician to join our small established and successful IT team who provide a comprehensive systems and network support service across both staff and student networks.
The successful candidate will be the first line of support for our teachers and support staff, as well as students, working closely with the Systems Manager to maintain the smooth day-to-day running of the school computer system and associated hardware, software and peripherals for network and standalone machines, servers and laptops.
The successful candidate will be able to evidence:
- Education to at least Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent;
- Sound experience in a similar IT role;
- Ability to work with RM community Connect, Windows Server, SAN solutions or equivalents, as well as other related systems as required;
- Knowledge and understanding of virtual networking, wireless networks, 0365 based email systems and managed print systems, as well as Microsoft Office;
- Successful resolution of a variety of IT / Network problems;
- Efficient and effective customer service skills.
