We are seeking an outstanding and dedicated teacher of modern foreign languages - French
The King John School in Benfleet is a heavily oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive of over 2000 students, of which approximately 420 are in the sixth form. The school's reputation in the area is second to none and that is because of the achievements of our students and the ethos of the school. Our results are consistently strong and over 76% of our students achieved a standard pass in English and mathematics at GCSE (Grade 4 or above) in 2018 and we are recognised by the Department for Education for our proactive promotion of the English Baccalaureate within our curriculum.
Our A-level results have been exemplary, with over 50% of year 13 students gaining A* - B grades in all of their subjects. The school enjoys an excellent reputation, having received a letter from the Director of Education in September 2017 commending the school on the 'fantastic' results. The school has also been graded at the end of September 2013 as 'Outstanding' across all key areas.

We are seeking to appoint an NQT/teacher of modern foreign languages - French (the ability to teach Spanish would be an advantage but is not essential), to join our modern foreign languages department who possesses the ability to see the bigger picture in language learning and to foster a love of learning languages.

You will need to:
Be able to teach Spanish would be an advantage but is not essential
Possess good behaviour management skills
Be a good and effective communicator at all levels

Commit to working collaboratively with colleagues and students
Utilise a variety of teaching methods and ensure that your lessons are engaging at all levels
