TEACHER OF SCIENCE
PHYSICS & CHEMISTRY SPECIALIST
We are looking to appoint an amazing Science teacher to join our outstanding Department. We would prefer a Physics specialist, but we will not turn you away if you are clearly great and have another specialism.
Shoeburyness High School is a huge, heavily oversubscribed Comprehensive School, which Ofsted judges as 'Good with Outstanding Features', and where, "Behaviour is outstanding because pupils conduct themselves impeccably." (November 2017).
The department offers opportunities for teaching the full range of ages and abilities, including "A" Level teaching in all specialisms and a combined Level 3 BTEC course too. The department is a friendly, hardworking and highly successful team with an excellent track record of GCSE and A Level success.
We are proud to be a fully inclusive community school with a grammar stream and a nurture base; a large sixth form and strong relationships with our partner primary schools within the Southend East Community Academy Trust (SECAT).
Our vision is to be the most outstanding school nationally, so if you think you'd like to be a part of that and can contribute to the next phase of our journey, we'd love to hear from you. Feel free to contact us and come and have a look around first.
The school has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
