Part time Caretaker for school site
18 hours per week with hours by negotiation.
Preferably 2-6pm 3 days a week and 3-6pm 2 days a week. Additionally some evening lettings for which overtime will be paid.
This roles includes working in the school holidays when hours can be consolated by arrangement.
£8273 per annum. £8.82 per hour. (FTE £17,007) including holidays which must be taken during school closures.
We are seeking a part time Caretaker for our small, friendly school. The successful applicant will be supported by senior staff in keeping our school buildings and grounds safe, smart, compliant and fit for providing a high quality education for our pupils. The hours of work will be agreed locally, and will include some unsociable hours for lettings and emergencies, for which overtime will be paid.
Duties will include:
- Replenishing stock
- Manual handling of deliveries, checking them off and reporting any shortfall
- Routine testing of water temperatures, fire extinguishers etc
- Minor repairs to equipment and buildings
- Decorating
- Liaising with contractors
- Litter picking
- Cleaning
- Keeping the outside area tidy including sweeping and minor gardening
- Key holding

Waterman Primary School is a small, friendly school in the heart of Rochford, serving the local community.
