An exciting opportunity has arisen in our school and our Federation. Therefore, we are recruiting for an Assistant Headteacher to work with us as we move forward.Our school community is looking for an inspirational individual who wishes to help shape the future of the management and success of our Federation.

The successful candidate will undertake a range of strategic responsibilities. They will have the opportunity to take the lead on areas of improvement and development, including the leading of our provision for pupils entitled to Pupil Premium funding. In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the executive team and will be a part of our senior team.

We are looking for an outward facing individual who embraces everything that school life and teaching represents. The successful candidate should be looking to develop leadership skills, be able to think strategically and demonstrate inspirational teaching. We are looking for a great teacher that inspires and motivates pupils and staff alike.

Whilst this may be a challenging role at times, we are committed to supporting our staff to enable them to develop successful career paths.

St. Nicholas is a small, friendly Church of England Primary school in Rayleigh that firmly believes that every child has amazing potential and that we need to work together to give all children the best possible education and care.

We are part of a Federation with Canewdon Endowed CofE (VC) Primary School. We value the individuality of each school, whilst we also believe that it is vital that we share expertise and resources effectively in order to survive and thrive as small schools. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across the federation and travel between schools when necessary, such as during shared training sessions.

We are pleased to confirm that we have now joined the Berlesduna Multi-Academy Trust; as our academy conversion finally went ahead on 1st December 2023.
