We are seeking to employ a part-time SENCO for 6.5 hours a week.
St Mary's is a small village school federated with Little Hallingbury Primary school situated in the village of Hatfield Broad Oak. The school is easily accessible and within reach of major roads.
The part time vacancy is for an accredited SENCO or someone completing their study to qualify as a SENCO. A flexible working pattern can be negotiated.
St Mary's was recognised by both Ofsted and SIAMS inspections as 'Good' during the summer of 2018.
The school is dedicated to inclusion and high quality provision to support children with SEND.
SENCO Role:
· Focused on supporting SEN pupils across the school in improving their achievements
· Writing and maintaining up to date intervention plans and EHCPs for SEND pupils
· Liaising with outside agencies, therapists
· Planning for interventions for small groups of SEN pupils
· Keeping up to date with the latest SEN legislation
· Ensuring staff receive the latest training
· Maintaining the schools SEN register
