Job Description
We are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to join our highly skilled team. Experience of working with children is preferable, alongside a caring and patient approach to supporting children as the role may include giving one to one assistance within the class to those with particular needs. We will also be looking at the candidate's ability to work with small groups of children.
Here at Canvey Junior School we have high expectations for children's attainment and behaviour.
The successful candidate will need to have:
Experience supporting teaching and learning, ideally in a school environment
Knowledge and experience of the National Curriculum
A positive and proactive approach
The ability to work as part of a team
High expectations for all pupils
NVQ Level 2 in learning support or equivalent qualifications
