Actual salary Band 3 Point 17-21 £15,379.00 - £16,918.00 dependent on experience and service.

Working term time plus two weeks, Monday to Friday 08:30 a.m. - 16:30 p.m.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR/Payroll Assistant (generalist) to join our HR Team.

The HR/Payroll Assistant will be working within a busy and efficient HR department based at Westwood Academy in Hadleigh. The HR/Payroll role is varied, assisting with coordinating a number of specific HR processes on a day-to-day basis, to ensure the smooth running of the HR function. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, confident and an enthusiastic person who enjoys using their own initiative. This position also requires exceptional administrative and communication skills. HR/Payroll experience and knowledge is essential.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have proven experience working in a generalist HR position for 1+ years.
  • Have the ability to compile and update employee records, manually and computerised.
  • Ability to work effectively in key professional areas, such as recruitment and talent planning, service delivery and information, employee relations / engagement.
  • The understanding of preparation and completion of the Work Force Census.
  • Be able to work well under pressure, whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills with GCSE Literacy and Numeracy grades A-C.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have good organisational and interpersonal skills.
