Term time 32.5 hours/week (8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday). Required April 2019

A number of job opportunities have arisen for specialist behaviour support assistants to work with children with social and emotional wellbeing needs in GROW.

The provisions currently recruiting are based in Braiswick Primary and Monkwick Junior School in Colchester and in Lyons Hall Primary in Braintree.

GROW is an alternative education provision for a small number of children in KS1 or KS2 who are not progressing in school because of the barriers caused by behaviour, emotional or social needs. GROW provides each child with a personalised curriculum for their individual needs. This is monitored and reviewed carefully. More information about GROW can be found at www.growessex.uk.

If you have the skills and previous experience this may be for you. You will definitely need to have bags of energy, patience and resilience to be able to work in a small team. You will receive a full induction into the role, ongoing training and support for this rewarding work.

In the first instance you can contact Trudie Spiller to get further information regarding the job description and details. Contracts are initially for a fixed term until August 2020 in line with the current three year funding but will be extended for a further three years on confirmation of the next funding agreement.

We recommend you visit the provision to help you decide whether this is a role for you.

Information about the School
