1-1 SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) part time, fixed-term to support a child with an EHCP (job share: afternoon contract 10 hours pw 1.00-3.00pm, term time only)

The post of 1-1 LSA is a fixed-term contract to work specifically with a reception age child with an ECHP with no language and profound hearing loss. It is essential to be enthusiastic, sensitive and patient, able to work as part of a team as well as using one's own initiative. Prior expertise and experience of Makaton and speech & language interventions/therapy is desirable though training will be provided.

Information about the School

Roseacres only opened in September 2015 with 33 pupils on roll! Now with over 200 pupils and eight classes, it caters for pupils in Years R to Y6. It is on the former site of Takeley Primary that relocated to a brand new school on Priors Green development in Little Canfield. Takeley village has and still is undergoing significant change due to continued local expansion resulting in a high demand for primary school places. Consequently, in September '18 a 'bulge' Reception cohort was admitted and a further building project was undertaken that academic year to provide two additional classrooms, creating a dedicated stand-alone Early Years Unit.
