We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, flexible and organised Receptionist to join our very busy school office. This role involves a variety of administrative duties and flexibility within the post is essential.
Salary: Band 2 to Midpoint: £11636pa (pro-rata)
30 hours per week 38 weeks per annum (term time only):
Monday/Wednesday 10.30am-3pm, Tuesday: 8.00am-4-15pm, Thursday: 8.30am-3.45pm, Friday 8.00-4.00pm (Hours are non-negotiable)
The main duties of the post are:
Welcoming parents and visitors to the school and liaison with appropriate staff.
Answering the telephone taking and distributing messages and dealing with enquiries.
Ensuring safeguarding and security procedures are adhered to.
To provide efficient administrative support as part of the office team, producing letters, documents and reports using a variety of computer programmes.
Undertake filing, franking, photocopying and reprographic work as appropriate.
The successful candidate will have:
A warm and welcoming personality as the initial point of contact for parents, pupils and visitors
Excellent communication skills
The ability to deal sympathetically with parents and pupils
The ability to work under pressure in an environment where there are constant interruptions
Excellent computer skills including Word and Excel, experience using the internet, email and other software packages (Sims would be an advantage)
Good organisation skills with a high level of accuracy and efficiency
The ability to work as part of a team
An understanding of confidentiality
Fully supportive of the school's ethos
