Greensward Academy is looking for a Business Administration Apprentice to support our administration department and reception. As an apprentice you will be given the opportunity to fully develop your administrative skills. We are a friendly and versatile department dealing with a variety of duties and responsibilities on a daily basis, one day never being the same as another.
We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and hardworking individual who is well presented. You will be required to provide administration support across the academy with your main focus being Admin Office. Training in general office work will be provided and you will be expected to be able to carry out specific tasks on your own. Your apprenticeship training will also need to be completed during your employment at Greensward Academy.
The successful candidates will have GCSE (A-C) in Maths and English or equivalent and will be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels. The ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook (or equivalent) is essential. Previous experience within an office environment would be advantageous.
You will complete a Level 3 BTEC Certificate in Business Administration and may also be required to complete Literacy, Numeracy and IT Functional Skills (this will be determined by existing qualifications). Your Trainer/Assessor will assess you in the workplace every 4 weeks. In between these meetings you will have dedicated time away from your job to work on the apprenticeship and collate evidence for your apprenticeship e-portfolio with ongoing support from your Manager and Trainer/Assessor.
This is an exciting opportunity to be in a real job, with real variety, from day one whilst working towards a qualification!
To be eligible for the Apprenticeship, applicants must have resided in the UK or EEA for 3 years prior to the start of the Apprenticeship.
Please note: applicants must not have already completed a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.
This will be a fixed term position and the duration of the apprenticeship will be determined by the job role and current skills. The minimum length of the apprenticeship will be one year and one week.
Please note: AET has their own in house apprenticeship scheme and do not work with any other training providers to deliver Apprenticeships.
As the sponsor, the AET believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners - to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first rate educational environment with the best facilities, the best teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them. In each of the AET academies, you will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills with access to world-class CPD and Talent Management programmes. You will also be offered membership of a private health cash plan and childcare vouchers.
The start date for this role is 1 September 2018.
Closing date: Monday 20 August 2018.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response. All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application.
