REQUIRED January 2022 - SEN LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS

Our support team are employed to work with individual children 1:1 (some on an EHCP), small groups and/or provide general class support across School. We are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to join our caring, friendly and hard-working team, who will be enthusiastic and able to use their initiative.

The successful candidate will have past or recent experience of supporting children in a school setting, ideally supporting SEN children.

  • LSA applicants must have a suitable Maths and English qualification
  • Short listed candidates will be required to undertake aBasic Skills Test: TBC
  • Following a successful test score and shortlisting, candidates will be invited to interview: TBC
  • This is a Thurrock Band A Post (Points 1 to 6 - range £9.43 to £10.41 per hour) as applicable depending on qualifications and experience
  • Exact hours will be confirmed prior to appointment - our team are in class from 8.35 a.m. to 3.20 p.m. Monday to Friday (28.75 hours per week).

APPLICATION PROCESS

Our School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

  • All Appointments are subject to a medical check, two satisfactory references and enhanced DBS clearance
  • At least one referee must be your current or last Head Teacher (no other school contacts will be accepted) in lieu of the Head Teacher
  • All applicants must be available to undertake a Basic English and Maths Skills Test
  • Following successful completion of the test, candidates will be invited tointerview and will receive an email invitation where applicable
  • Applicants must ensure they are available on the dates offered as unfortunately no alternatives can be offered this late in the term
  • Applicants who have applied to us within the last six months, need only send in a letter of interest in our vacancies
