Maltese Road Primary School is seeking to appoint a Catering Manager.
This post is for 25 hours per week. Monday to Friday, term time, plus non pupil days and 1 week working in school holidays.
The rate of pay will be pro rata and based on Scale Point 8 to 11 (FTE equivalent £20,493 to £21,748 pa)
The successful applicant will be trained to at least Level 2 Food Safety or NVQ equivalent. They must have experience of working in a kitchen environment and will be responsible for; planning a balanced and nutritious menu, organising theme days, ordering stock, budget management, line management of kitchen staff and ensure compliance with food standards and hygiene regulations.
This role will be supported by an Essex School Meals Service Consultant.
Previous experience in a school kitchen is highly desirable.
