Salary: Qualified* up to £38,534.00 per annum

Unqualified up to £30,527.00 per annum

Located at Stansted Airport College

Fixed term Maternity cover up to 1st April 2022

Our NEW £11million Stansted Airport College opened in September 2018.

The College is a partnership between London Stansted Airport and Harlow College - the first of its kind at any airport in the country. The centre was purpose built with industry standard facilities providing training for 500 young people per year.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented individual to deliver our BTEC, HNC, NCFFE and Gateway Aviation Operations curriculum to approximately 150+ 16-18 years and beyond Students. Knowledge of the aviation environment is essential to deliver units that include:

  • Airport Baggage Dispatch
  • Aviation Meteorology
  • Aircraft Dispatch
  • Health and Safety in Aviation Industry
  • Aviation Security
  • Aviation Communications

You should have experience in one or more of the following areas; airside operations, customer service and terminal management, security and flight operations to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your skills and inspire the next generation by working in Further Education. We offer a vibrant and positive learning environment for our students and you will play a key role in preparing, planning, co-ordinating, assessing and delivering both theory and practical sessions to our Aviation Operation Trainees.

Experience within the aviation environment is essential, however you don't need to have a qualification in teaching, just a passion for your specialism, strong communication skills and be willing to train on the job, as we will support staff to undertake a teaching or assessing qualification, if not already held.

Our full time teaching staff normally teach up to 24 hours per week during term time.
