Administration: Support Services Leader at Langham Oaks School, Colchester: £29,577 - £32,234 pa
Langham Oaks School provides a very special type of education to students who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. It is located in its own substantial grounds in the quiet, leafy village of Langham near Colchester.
Towards the end of this term, the whole school is moving from a converted Victorian house, where they have been situated for many years, to a brand new purpose-built provision within the existing grounds. We can't wait to move, especially the staff team, who will have the opportunity to tailor use of the new building to suit their needs.
At this already exciting time, we find ourselves with a rare opportunity for someone special to join us, to lead and shape the direction of administration, as a key member of Langham Oaks' team. The successful candidate will be working with a small group of friendly, professional and dedicated staff to support the Headteacher, pupils and families in ensuring students leave Langham ready and well-equipped for the next stage of their journeys.
The role involves overseeing all aspects of School Business and HR and includes some more personal PA duties to the Headteacher. You will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing an important voice in shaping the future of Langham Oaks, whilst leading a small team of your own. As in all schools, work is always plentiful, but highly rewarding and, as Langham Oaks is part of the SEAX Trust, you will be supported, not only by the knowledge and expertise of your colleagues, but also by the staff in the Trust's Central Team. Therefore, whilst previous experience of school systems would be advantageous, it is not essential, because full training can be given.
