Teacher of English (part-time, 0.4FTE)

The Boswells School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated part-time teacher of English (0.4 FTE). We are looking for the successful candidate to deliver high quality English lessons to develop an already strong provision within our English faculty.
You will be joining a school with enthusiastic and dedicated leaders at senior and middle leadership levels and a commitment to the professional development of staff. The Boswells School is keen to embrace an approach that is centred on teaching and learning and the academic attainment for our students.
The Boswells School is an 11-18, very successful, popular and oversubscribed school in the Springfield area of Chelmsford, Essex. We consistently achieve outstanding GCSE results with 74% and 79% of our students achieving a grade 4 or above in English Language and English Literature respectively and 55% and 59% a grade 5 or above. Our Sixth Form is also thriving and results in this area are also well above both Essex and National averages. The Boswells School is a large 11-18 secondary school that serves the area of north Chelmsford. The school is an extremely popular, over-subscribed convertor academy that enjoys an excellent reputation in the local and wider community. We were graded ‘Good’ in every area by OFSTED in February 2017 and are working towards our goal of becoming a truly great school.
