SEMH Support Worker Band 3
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring SEMH Support Worker to join our friendly and hardworking team. The SEMH Support Worker will support a number of children in school with a range of social, emotional and behaviour needs. We need to enable vulnerable children to develop skills to support their own emotional wellbeing and/or to regulate their emotions, to interact appropriately, to discuss and explore when things go wrong and to make reparations.
As the SEMH Support Worker you will work with a range of ages across the school and your duties will depend on the age of the children and their individual needs. (Please see individual job specification)
This is a permanent, part time post for 25 hours a week.
The successful candidate will need:
· 3 or more GCSEs at A - C level (or equivalent) including English and Maths
· Experience in working with primary age children with SEMH needs
· The ability to build good relationships
· A supportive and caring nature
· A commitment to helping children fulfil their potential
Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged.
