We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child inReception year with complex needs.
Working hours are as follows:
Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 12:00 - 15:15
Wed 12:00 - 15:00
Total number of hours = 15.25 h
Thisposition will be a fixed-term appointment for term time only for 1 year initially, with potential to be extended if appropriate.
Actual annual salary offered will be from £5,794 to £6,024 depending on experience.
The starting date for this position is 29 Oct 2018, with some flexibility for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will:
- be enthusiastic and flexible
- beable to work co-operatively as part of a close-knit team
- haveknowledge and experience of working with children with special educational needs
- have excellent behaviour management skills
- be positive and motivational
- have good communication skills
You will be expected to:
- take some responsibility for the progress of SEN pupils
- help to organise resources and the classroom to create a positive learning environment
- motivate pupils
- work with the SENCO, teachers and other LSAs to plan and coordinate work
- help SEN pupilsto take part in school events and activities
- be patient, empathetic, and have an ability to build rapport with children
