PAWS breakfast, afterschool and holiday club are based at Ghyllgrove Community Infant School and are looking for enthusiastic cooks to join the team during term time and school holidays. We want you to work as a member of the team, showing initiative and creativity to foster an environment which encourages the children's all round development and where high standards of care are provided.
You must have previous experience in preparing home cooked meals from fresh ingredients.
You will be required:
To prepare the meals for the children, cleaning, clearing and ensuring food hygiene. To work closely with Manager, Club Supervisor and Staff in preparing daily menu's. Ensuring all dietary requirements are recorded and met daily. Adhering to all Club policies and procedures.
To attend staff meetings and training sessions as required. Participate in all self-development activities, including appraisals. Develop positive relationships with other staff working within the Club. To maintain confidentiality at all times.
Undertake a shared responsibility for health, safety and cleanliness throughout the School kitchen. Operate the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the food service area and ensure all documentation is completed daily.
The suitable candidate must have a current DBS check, Basic Food Hygiene certificate and references.
Job Type: Part Time 12 ½ hours per week (3.00 - 5.30pm Monday to Friday) term time/holidays
Information about the School
We are rated a GOOD School. We are currently full with 206 children on roll. Pupils come from a wide range of social and economic backgrounds with a number of pupils from outside the catchment area.
