SEN Teaching Assistant
Salary Band 2 point 11-14
Hours: 20 -25
We are looking to appoint a caring SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive SEN team helping children to overcome barriers to learning. In this instance we are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic person to work with children with learning difficulties.
The successful candidate will:
Have proven experience of working with children with communication and learning needs
Have good communication skills
Have a minimum NVQ level 2 in Mathematics and Literacy
Possess good ICT skills
Be patient and empathetic
Promote positive behaviour strategies with children who may display challenging behaviours
Be willing to undertake all personal hygiene
Be able to work under guidance and with initiative to adapt to meet the learning needs when required
