KS3 Pastoral Leader
Salary: £17,168 pa pro-rata
(Ongar Support Staff Scale H4: 17 - 20)

Opened in Ongar in September 2015, we are a brand new non fee-paying 11-18 mixed comprehensive school.
Heavily oversubscribed, the academy is built on the principle of offering opportunity for all to achieve at the very highest level. Focussing on STEM, (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), students are challenged and stretched and are enthusiastic to learn.
We now seek a reliable and effective individual to fulfil the role of KS3 Pastoral Leader with the key areas of work being as follows:
• To take responsibility for the leadership and management of KS3
• To ensure the academic progress of students in the KS3 year groups
• To ensure effective pastoral care of students in the KS3 year groups
• To contribute to the wider success of the Pastoral Team and the school
• To promote and be involved in extra-curricular activities and the wider life of the school community
All applicants must have an administrative capacity and educational experience is desirable but NOT essential.
Applicants must also have strong literacy and numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
