Associate Teacher - Cover Supervisor
Casual basis - as and when required

Maltings Academy and New Rickstones Academy in Witham, Essex are graded 'Outstanding' and 'Good' by Ofsted respectively. Both have has a state of the art new building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff alike.

We are recruiting a number of Associate Teachers to join our Cover team. You will provide cover for classes in the event of absence of teaching staff in all areas of the curriculum. You will be responsible for following lesson plans provided and maintaining good order and focused activity.

The successful candidates will be educated to Level 3 (minimum), have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate our learners. You will be able to adapt quickly to changing situations and 'think on your feet'. These positions are on a casual, as and when basis. Working hours will be between 8.30am and 3pm.

New Rickstones Academy is a secondary school based in Witham. This is an exciting time to join New Rickstones Academy as we continue to expand. Over the last 8 years, student numbers have more than doubled, leading to oversubscription and the addition of a new building in September 2022 to accommodate the growing demand. We maintained our 'Good' OFSTED rating in 2023. Whilst learning is our core aim, mutual respect and fantastic working relationships between students and staff is what makes New Rickstones Academy what it is, and makes me proud to be Principal.
