This role is an amazing opportunity to join a fantastic charity-run community setting for children aged from 2 to 4. The setting needs a confident manager with a good knowledge of child development to ensure that all the children's individual needs are fully met. The manager is responsible for the activities and progress in the Preschool in order to create and develop a stimulating environment by providing a high level of quality care whilst maintaining a professional and positive outcome for both children and staff. This involves supporting our dedicated team with the co-ordinating of the short and medium-term planning and prioritisation of the activities within the staff team in order to meet not only the curriculum requirements, but the requirements of each child.

You will work as part of a team and will be expected to have a clear understanding of your role and the role of other professionals. You will share information with other professionals in a timely manner and work together for the safety and well-being of the child.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or aboveGood knowledge of OFSTED standards and EYFS
  • Experience if implementing health and safety in a pre-school setting
  • Excellent organisational and time management skillsExcellent communication and strong people management skills
  • Knowledge and understand of equal opportunities / SENCO etc.
  • Broad relevant childcare experience in a nursery/pre-school environment.

As a charitable community setting, we are a not-for-profit organisation that is run by a committee of parents and stakeholders. This has helped us create a special environment where the well-being and development of the children are the primary concerns.

Fyfield Preschool operates from 9:15am to 2.45pm Monday to Friday and closes in line with school holidays meaning a 38-week year. The manager will work a 32.5 hour week with an annual salary of £12,989.00. Hours can be reduced by negotiation.
