We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic, committed professional as a Curriculum Leader of 14-16 Mathematics. This is an important middle leadership role that is key to the continued success of the department. The successful candidate will have the ability to articulate their vision for the development of the department and its contribution to whole school improvement.

We have a strong team ethos and are looking for a like-minded person to join the department at an exciting time of its development. The Curriculum Leader of 14-16 Mathematics offers the successful candidate the opportunity to make a significant impact upon the attainment and progress of approximately 650 students in years 10 and 11. Students benefit from 4 hours of Mathematics teaching per week from year 8.

At Tendring Technology College ('TTC') we are an extremely forward-thinking and motivated department. Mathematics is taught in ability groups with access to well-equipped classrooms and computer rooms. The first formal GCSE Examination is undertaken by our HLP students at the end of year 9, studying GCSE Statistics. Mathematics GCSE is completed by all students at the end of year 11. At A level, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Use of Mathematics are offered. We are a local Maths Hub for the Matrix Essex & Herts Maths Hub and also collaborate actively with the AET National Mathematics team. We recognise the importance of continued professional development and bespoke training opportunities are provided by the SLE Mathematics.

Tendring Technology College was judged by Ofsted as 'Outstanding' in every category in September 2013 and following designation as a teaching school is now the lead school of the Tendring Teaching School Alliance. TTC is a key member of The Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), a multi-Academy sponsor which aims to provide the opportunity for all young learners to fulfil their real potential, broaden their horizons and become active, prosperous and successful citizens in the world around them. Tendring Technology College is a large successful 11-18 mixed comprehensive school, which has two campuses; Frinton Campus (14-18) and Thorpe Campus (11-14).

As the sponsor, AET believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners - to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first rate educational environment with the best facilities, the best teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them. In each of our AET academies, you will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills with access to world-class CPD and Talent Management programmes. You will also be entitled to the following benefits: a health cash plan, vehicle affinity scheme, Cycle2work, childcare vouchers and Westfield rewards.
