We are looking to appoint 2 Teaching Assistants from September to provide individual support including intimate care, to a pupil in Reception with Down Syndrome. Experience of working with children with SEND is desirable.

The successful candidate will need to have:

• excellent communication skills

• experience of working with children

• GCSE or equivalent in English and mathematics

• an understanding of children with complex needs

• a clear commitment to the safeguarding of all children

Post 1 will be 8.45am - 12.30pm Monday to Friday, 18.45 hours per week, term time only.

Post 2 will be 12.00pm - 15.15pm Monday to Friday, 16.15 hours per week, term time only.

The salary will be Band 2 ranging from points 11 to 16 (£5,693.56 - £7,230.69) per annum. This position is subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS check.
