Subject Leader - Computing
The Ongar Academy is a school with a strong STEM focus. We are a brand new non fee-paying 11-18 mixed community school opening in Ongar in September 2015. Built on the principle of offering opportunity for all to achieve at the very highest level, this school will be an amazing place to learn and to teach.
Our motto 'Affectare ad Optimum' translates as 'Aspire to Greatness' and that is precisely what you will be doing alongside our inspiring Headteacher, our parents and the initial intake of 120 Year 7 students. With the new Sixth Form opening in 2017, we will grow gradually and organically to our full roll of 800 students over the next few years.
Moving into a brand-new building soon means there will be a significant budget to invest in the very best state-of-the-art hardware and software for our new school - and you will have a pivotal role in determining how this money should be spent. We intend to be at the cutting edge for staff and students, a beacon for 21st Century innovation. As a school that focusses on Technology, our industry links are very strong. We intend to appoint only the very best staff to help educate the generations of students to come.
