THE LEARNING PARTNERSHIP TRUST

ESSEX/HERTFORDSHIRE BORDER

HEADTEACHER

ROSEACRES PRIMARY SCHOOL

Starting salary range L10-L18

To start September 2015 or earlier if possible

The role:

We are seeking a dynamic school leader to lead the opening and growth of a new primary school. The school will open in September 2015 with three classes across four year groups and grow to become a one-form entry school of 210 pupils.

This is an exciting opportunity for either a Headteacher wanting to grow and shape a new school or a highly capable Deputy Headteacher looking for their first Headship. You will be fully supported by the Executive Headteacher in your personal development and you will be part of the Trust leadership team.

You will be actively involved in the recruitment and development of a new team of teachers and support staff. You will also have a key role in attracting parents and pupils to the school and engaging with the village community.

The organisation:

The Learning Partnership Trust is a new primary multi-academy trust established by Hatfield Heath Primary School, an Outstanding school in Essex near Bishop's Stortford and Stansted Airport. The Trust has a vision for a small family of outstanding primary schools serving local communities and is a DfE approved sponsor. The Trust has an absolute commitment to the highest standards of education based on a can-do culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

The Trust Executive Headteacher, John Clements, is a very well respected school leader and NLE with a strong track record in driving rapid and sustained improvement in other schools while also leading Hatfield Heath to Outstanding status since 2005.

The starting salary and salary range will be agreed with the appointee based on their current salary, previous experience and track record.

To discuss this role further please contact John Clements, Executive Headteacher, on 01279 730382. To apply or get further information please visit our listing on www.essexschoolsjobs.co.uk. (Tip: use the search term Roseacres within the leadership job search.)

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. These posts are subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS check.

Information about the School

Roseacres only opened in September 2015 with 33 pupils on roll! Now with over 200 pupils and eight classes, it caters for pupils in Years R to Y6. It is on the former site of Takeley Primary that relocated to a brand new school on Priors Green development in Little Canfield. Takeley village has and still is undergoing significant change due to continued local expansion resulting in a high demand for primary school places. Consequently, in September '18 a 'bulge' Reception cohort was admitted and a further building project was undertaken that academic year to provide two additional classrooms, creating a dedicated stand-alone Early Years Unit.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
