Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and passionate Deputy Headteacher who has the vision, skills, abilities and focus to further raise standards, achievement and aspirations for allpupils at Kents Hill Infant Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding leader who wishes to be part of a dedicated and committed leadership team, which includes an experienced part-time Deputy Head.

Kents Hill Infant Academy is a happy and successful academy in Benfleet, Essex, providing education for pupils aged from 4-7 years. We offer a creative curriculum, pupils who are eager to learn and staff who are friendly, supportive and committed to continuing development.

The successful applicant will

• Have an awareness of recent national initiatives and school improvement strategies aimed at raising achievement and improving behaviour.
• Have experience or training in leadership and management and can demonstrate proven leadership skills that motivate and inspire staff and children alike to achieve the highest standards.
• Be enthusiastic and have the ability to establish positive working relationships with colleagues, pupils and parents through modelling very high levels of professionalism, commitment and integrity.
• Be able to effectively manage change and havehigh levels of organisational and time management.
• Be a qualified teacher who can demonstrate sustained outstanding classroom practice and a commitment to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
• Will not have a class responsibility initially but will be expected to provide PPA cover to colleagues 3 days a week.
• Have experience of or an interest in inclusive practice including knowledge of SEND.

This is a permanent, full time appointment which will be paid on the Leadership scale L8-12.
