We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious NQT to join our supportive Mathematics department in September 2015. An early start in July 2015 may be considered. The Mathematics Department currently consists of seven teachers and a lead practitioner, who are clearly focused on raising standards of teaching and ensuring all pupils make excellent progress. In 2014, 74% of students achieved A* to C in GCSE Mathematics and 100% achieved A* - E in A Level.

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent subject knowledge
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with students and staff
  • Passion for delivering outstanding teaching practice

The Bromfords School and Sixth Form College is a rapidly improving school. 60% of students achieved 5 or more A* to C grades including English and Mathematics in 2014 and progress in English and Mathematics is above the national average.

Our school is making rapid progress since its inspection in November 2022. A recent review by the Local Authority commented on the ‘sea change’ noted in students’ behaviour and the culture and ethos of the school. Our 2023 outcomes were the best set of Key Stage 4 results achieved by Year 11 students since 2016. Our Year 7 intake continues to be oversubscribed, with a waiting list.
