Subject Leader of Computing/ICT

TLR 2c (£6,319)

Cecil Jones College is looking to employ an experienced Subject Leader of Computing/ICT to join a dynamic and forward thinking department in January 2015.

We seek to appoint a dynamic leader to further develop our Computing/ICT Department. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work closely with senior staff, lead on intervention programmes and contribute to our wide ranging transition projects.

You will be accountable for:

  • The impact on educational progress beyond assigned students

  • Leading, developing and enhancing the teaching practice of others

  • Student development across the curriculum

  • The line management of staff in the department

  • Monitoring, quality assuring, assessing and reporting of progress

  • The learning environment including facilities, expenditure, health and safety and effective deployment of resources

You will lead a large, successful, collaborative team and be passionate and dedicated to raising attainment, teaching varied and exciting lessons to enable our students to reach their potential, and assist us in our vision to becoming an "Outstanding" education provider.
