Inclusion Manager

Leadership scale - Points L3 - L7

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking to appoint an outstanding Inclusion Manager to join our dynamic team to start in January 2015. The school has worked hard to streamline processes, policies and procedures to ensure the quality of teaching and learning is high. The inspiring and motivated Senior Leadership wish to recruit an Inclusion Manager to join their team and they require someone who has great knowledge and experience and who is proactive, highly organised and methodical in their approach.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Significant experience as a SENCO or Inclusion Manager.
  • The ability to lead a large team of support staff and to coordinate the provision for SEN and other vulnerable groups.
  • The experience and interpersonal skills to work as part of our Senior Leadership Team and to contribute to the development of the school on its journey to 'Outstanding'.
  • Experience of working with external agencies.

The responsibility:

  • Lead, manage and develop SEND throughout the whole school.
  • Lead, develop and enhance the practice of all staff.
  • Be focused on raising attainment and achievement of all SEND children and vulnerable groups, including children receiving pupil premium.
  • Be part of the Senior Leadership Team and be actively involved in the strategic leadership of the whole school.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and qualified Primary SENCO, who will help us review SEND systems across the school and support staff to ensure all pupils reach their full potential.

Applicants with experience of safeguarding and the use of Pupil Premium would be preferable. The successful applicant would hold the National Award for SEN Co-ordinators, or be willing to begin this programme.

Are you an outstanding Primary teacher who loves working with and nurturing young people? Would you be committed to working in partnership with our families, in line with our key ethos of nurturing and supporting the whole family?

If so, please contact Mrs S. Hilton, Office Manager, for further details and an application form. Visits are warmly welcomed and strongly encouraged.

Closing date: Monday 20th October 2014 noon

Interviews: Friday 24th October 2014
