In July 2014 Meadgate Primary School's Year 6 children achieved 96% two levels progress in maths and writing and 92% two levels progress in reading. Our phonic check score was 87%. Do you want to be part of our success story?

Due to the promotion of our current Deputy Headteacher, we are looking to appoint an inspirational leader with proven management and leadership experience. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and will work closely with staff, pupils, directors, governors and parents/carers. Meadgate Primary is 'a good school' which has continued to move forward since its last Ofsted inspection in February 2014 and benefits from supportive staff, enthusiastic children and great links with Purleigh Primary School and The Eveleigh LINK Academy Trust. On 1st April 2014 we converted to academy status.

The person appointed will:

  • Be an exemplary classroom practitioner with proven understanding of curriculum and staff development
  • Have proven leadership qualities and management experience
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Have a clear vision and high expectations for school improvements
  • Have an interest in special educational needs
  • Work collaboratively with a committed team of pupils, staff and governors, parents and the wider community.

The directors and governors will provide effective support for the successful candidate who will demonstrate a strong commitment to work closely with them to provide high quality leadership and the best possible education for children.
