Greensward Academy is the lead academy of the Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), a multi-Academy sponsor which aims to provide the opportunity for all young learners to fulfil their real potential. The Academy is located in Hockley, Essex and has excellent road and rail links.
Greensward Academy's Spanish Department is thriving and friendly, with forward thinking qualified teachers expressing innovative ideas. We have had good exam results and are looking to improve on these. GWA runs several overseas trips to Barcelona, Paris and Montpelier every year with a day trip for year 7's to Bologna. The Spanish department is modern with up to date curriculum developments. The Head of Spanish will be required to teach KS3 and KS4 and to look to developing KS5 for the 2015/16 academic year.
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated individual to lead our Spanish department. You will be an exceptional classroom teacher who demonstrates high standards of delivery in a consistent manner, who is committed to improving achievement across all key stages and who understands the strategies required to accomplish this. You must be a strong leader with the ability to inspire both staff and students. You will be enthusiastic, have a winning personality and have an imaginative approach to the delivery of the curriculum area.
