SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS COORDINATOR

TLR1a (TLR1c could be available for an exceptional candidate)

Beauchamps High School is seeking to appoint a SENCO. We are looking for a strategic and innovative professional to lead our inclusion team and to be the school's lead professional for those with special educational needs. The school can offer a friendly and stimulating environment to work in, with an established programme of staff induction, training and development opportunities.

The focus of the department is to ensure that every student makes the most progress possible and that all barriers to learning are removed. The successful candidate will play a key role in the professional development of other colleagues so they can teach and support our vulnerable students even more effectively.

The successful candidate will:

  • be a qualified teacher with experience of teaching in a comprehensive secondary school

  • have a track record of achieving high standards with a range of SENCo learners

  • have a SENCo qualification

  • be passionate about enabling students to achieve the best they can

  • be able to inspire and lead a large team
