Great Leighs Primary School has been on a rapid journey of change, moving from 'Requires Improvement! to 'Good' in under a year. Due to the promotion of our Deputy Head to headship, the Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic Deputy Head to continue this momentum, working with the whole school community on its journey to 'Outstanding'.

We are looking for someone who:

• will work creatively and effectively with the Headteacher, Governing Body and Senior Leadership Team to create and deliver a broad, exciting and skills focused curriculum
• is an exemplary and reflective classroom practitioner, able to lead by example and to support other colleagues to develop in improving learning and teaching
• aspires to be the best at what they do and motivates others to excel as part of a whole school learning community
• sets consistently high standards for themselves and the children in their care
• has a proven track record in contributing to the learning and progress of pupils and to raising standards of achievement
