The Employability, Innovation and Skills Academy deliver a wide range of courses that are aimed at helping unemployed people gain the knowledge and skills to progress into long term employment and upskilling/reskilling of adult learners to progress or change their career. We work closely with the Job Centre Plus and other partners to run courses that are tailored to the current labour market.
We are seeking an individual to work within the Support Services team to help support the smooth running of our adult education provision. Experienced in a customer focused and administrative role is essential. You will also need to have strong communication skills, an ability to work under pressure, be competent using ICT and have a can-do attitude that shows flexibility and the ability to adapt to change.
Some of the duties will include support with tracking and monitoring the delivery of qualifications, administration of the adult provision (contacting learners, registration and certification of qualification, providing information, advice and guidance and assisting with booking external delivery venues) and communicating with job centre plus and other referral agencies.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a good level of English and maths, minimum level 2 or equivalent
- Preferred experience of working with the unemployed and external agencies
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
