Vacancy - 1:1 Learning Support Assistant EYFS

Hours 8.30 - 3.30pm Mon - Fri (term time only - including some duties over lunchtime)

Salary - Scale 3 Point 4 £19,264 FTE

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking Early Years team. The role will involve working as part of a teaching team to support the learning, and social and emotional development of an individual pupil with special educational needs. We are looking for someone with empathy, understanding and a determination to provide children with the very best opportunity and access to learning across the curriculum.

The post is for approximately 30 hours per week, 8.30a.m to 3.30p.m, term time only and will include some supervision during break times / lunchtimes.

The successful applicant should preferably have:

Experience of working in schools

Experience of children with special needs / ASD
Good literacy and numeracy skills
A commitment to meeting the needs of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities

A willingness to respond to personal care needs including supporting toileting
An ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
