Shorefields School is a special needs school for pupils aged 3-19 with complex learning difficulties (SLD, PMLD, ASD).
We currently have a vacancy for an IT Technician to support our students, staff and across our school.
The role will involve looking after the day-to-day maintenance, installation and first line repairs of ICT equipment, as well as to provide advice and guidance to staff and students. The new technician, will be well supported by our external IT support provider.
We are looking for a confident, committed and flexible individual with good communication skills and excellent IT skills.
Candidates should have a good knowledge of IT equipment, hardware and software. Ideally the successful candidate will have had some experience of working in a school environment or in a role providing IT support. A good standard of general education is essential, as is a sense of humour.

This is a 43 working weeks per year position, which equates to: term time, plus non-pupil days, plus three working weeks in the school holidays periods.
The role will be between 25 and 30 hours per weeek, Monday to Friday.
Actual Gross Annual Salary for this position is between £14,332.24 (25 hours per week at point 12 minimum) to £19,259.85 (30 hours per week at point 17 maximum)

Shorefields School caters for the needs of pupils with a range of severe learning difficulties. We currently have 154 pupils on roll aged between 3 and 19 years. The school is located in the centre of Clacton-on-Sea close to the beach and shopping area. Our catchment area extends to the whole of the Tendring peninsula
