We have an exciting opportunity for a Performing Arts Technician, to join our Performing Arts team. The role is a crucial post in the development of the school and the educational provision we offer our students. The Boswells School Performing Arts Faculty, comprising of the Dance, Drama, Art and Music departments seeks an energetic and enthusiastic technician to join this vibrant and successful faculty to assist and support in the delivery of a range of high quality performing arts productions, events and activities. With all subjects running courses across all three key stages a wide range of course are delivered, including BTEC's in Performing Arts and Production, Music Technology along with GCSE and A levels in Dance, Drama and Music.

The school boasts excellent facilities for the Performing Arts including:
• 2 purpose built dance studios
• 1 black box drama studio
• 2 additional drama studios
• 3 music classrooms (including 22 PC's)
• 1 recording studio
• 8 music practice rooms
• Fully equipped purpose built proscenium arch theatre
• Tiered seating in Theatre
• 9 Performing Arts teachers

Annually the Faculty presents approximately 10 different public performances/productions in the main theatre alone, with numerous exams and showcases taking place in the theatre and studio theatre. The Performing Arts Technician role supports and assists with all of these events to ensure that each and every production is of the highest quality.

The Boswells School is a large 11-18 secondary school that serves the area of north Chelmsford. The school is an extremely popular, over-subscribed convertor academy that enjoys an excellent reputation in the local and wider community.
