We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic HLTA to work with teachers as part of our professional team to support learning activities for classes, groups and/or to support students undertaking lessons delivered via remote learning or computer aided techniques.To also provide support to students across the college or support pupils with severe learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory or physical difficulties. Provide support to students with: transition from primary school; transition from KS3 to KS4 through Pathways; transition from college to post-16 education. The successful candidates will need to have GCSE qualification grade C/level 5 or above, or equivalent, in English and maths. Additionally, the successful candidate will hold the L4 Teaching Assistant qualification or be willing to achieve it within 12 months of appointment.

The pay band for the role is Scale 5 (scp 8 to 11), which is £20,852 to £22,129.

The hours of work for the role will be 28 hours per week, Monday to Friday and this will be required term time, plus five staff training days (39 weeks in total), working between the hours of 08.55 am to 15.30 pm, with one afternoon working to 16.00 pm.

The actual salary for the role (inclusive of holiday pay) is £13,467.69 to £14,292.46 (under 5 years' service) or £13,649.27 to £14,485.17 (over 5 years' service).
