It is an exciting time at Becket Keys Church of England School (Outstanding, 2014). We are working hard to build upon the exam successes of our founding cohorts, whilst also establishing our 6th Form into its fifth year. With attainment levels in PE at an all-time high and our sports teams winning the National Cup in basketball, we are looking to strengthen our department in all areas to continue our success into the future.

We are seeking a suitably qualified colleague to join our team. It is envisaged that the person appointed will be extremely enthusiastic about sport and enjoy teaching the subject to all levels and abilities. We are looking for teachers who are excited at the prospect of working on a vast range of extracurricular activities to support the current success of the department. This position would ideally suit an Early Career Teacher. We have a strong track record of supporting ECTs and have already appointed four ECTs for September.

This post is a vital appointment in terms of maintaining the very high standards we have set for our school and our fabulous PE department. Every day students are taught engaging and inspiring lessons and we are looking for someone to join our passionate and committed team. We offer a warm and supportive staffroom culture and students who are highly committed to their learning and proud of their school.

If you think that you possess the qualities and passion we need for this vital role, please contact us to discuss further.

We reserve the right to close advertisements early. Advertisements will therefore close at 12 noon, either on the advertised closing date, or the day the decision has been taken to close the advertisement early.

The appointee will be committed to our high expectations and core values - we welcome applications from teachers irrespective of their faith or belief. However, we ask for applicants to appreciate and respect the beliefs of others and have strong moral principles.

Staff of the school benefit from priority admission for their children. Our admissions policy effectively guarantees staff a place in the school for their children. With over 800 applications for our 150 places each year, this is a significant perk! In addition, staff will be provided with a comprehensive induction programme and laptop, childcare vouchers are available, and childcare is available at a neighbouring provision with discounted rates for staff members.
