Admissions and Attendance Officer
Fixed term contract -31st August 2023
Salary: Band C Point 13 - 17
(£19,657.81 - £22,521.61 per annum)
35 hours per week
8:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday, one hour unpaid lunch break
39 weeks of the year - term time plus two additional weeks
Start Date: July 2022
East Tilbury Primary School are seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual to join their school as an Admissions and Attendance Officer. The role will involve ensuring that the school is compliant with the School Admissions Code and the law relating to admissions, ensuring accurate information relating to school Admissions (enquiries/visits /applications/withdrawal/starters and leavers) is available on SIMs/BROMCOM, and any other systems required in line with GDPR restrictions
In addition, the Admissions element of the role will require being responsible for organising and managing the administrative procedures relating to the accurate and secure maintenance of pupil records. It will also be necessary to work closely with the SENCo to ensure that children with SEND or medical conditions receive the support they need when they join our school.
The core Attendance duties will include recording absence accurately on SIMs/BROMCOM, working closely with the EWO and Pastoral Team to reduce pupil absence, arranging meetings with parents/carers and completing relevant correspondence. The provision of termly reports for the LGB detailing attendance and barriers will also be required.
The ideal candidate should have:
· A good level of numeracy and literacy,
· The ability to deal sensitively with children and adults
· An understanding of the issues that may affect a pupil's ability to attend school
· A good understanding of the attendance/admissions process
· Working knowledge of SIMs/BROMCOM or a similar system

East Tilbury Primary School & Nursery converted to Academy Status in April 2012 as a partner in St Cleres Co-operative Academy Trust. We are a three/four form entry school in a semi-rural location, only a 5 minute walk from East Tilbury Station which is on the C2C Fenchurch - Shoeburyness Line. .
