An exciting opportunity has arisen at St Andrew's Primary School for a highly skilled and inspirational Assistant Headteacher with teaching responsibility within Key Stage One. The Curriculum area to be led will be dependent upon current skill set.
St. Andrew's is a school at the heart of the community, a great school with our super children at the centre of everything we do. Our curriculum and learning behaviours enable children to be well prepared for the next step in their education, we know this because we have asked them! Speaking to our pupils in Year 7 we have refined our curriculum in response to their feedback. We aim for all our pupils to have a voice and our living together well curriculum strand supports this aim.
Our Learning Behaviours encompass our church school character and provide a framework for our pupils which supports them in being respectful of themselves and others within the community, academic ambition, becoming creative thinkers and clear communicators who work well in collaborative with others.
Our inclusive school team adopt the Thrive Approach, recognising not all children come to school with the same experiences, ability and needs socially. We understand that each of our children are individual and we seek to meet their needs through adaptations to the delivery of our curriculum. It is our aim that every child achieves the most that they can and becomes the best that they can be, promoting self-confidence by recognising the ways in which they are successful.
Our Assistant Head Teacher will be:
• A highly effective teacher with a proven track record of good pupil progress who is committed to making a difference in children's lives.
• A dynamic and forward-thinking leader who is passionate about teaching and learning, keen to share their practice with others within the team they lead.
• A skilled problem solver with a willingness to take risks to increase and improve opportunities for all children. Someone willing to be outward looking and keen to learn more.
• A reflective practitioner who is looking to influence practice and strategy of the school, further strengthening the school's leadership team. Someone resilient in their pursuit of meeting children's needs.
Our school provides:
• A positive working environment with strong focus on people. Motivated and engaged children who are keen to learn.
• A professional, dedicated and friendly team of teachers and support staff (with every group of learners) committed to developing and raising standards. A school team that reflects and is outward looking in its approach to school improvement.
· A commitment to your professional development, succession planning and future career through various means, in the school and across the Trust.
• A school community that will support you to be successful in your role and are appreciative of the work you do for their families.
The school is part of the All Saints Academy Trust, a primary only pairing of schools that is looking to grow further. We have demonstrated a commitment to school improvement and improving standards.
Tours of the school are welcome on Friday 13th May at 9.30am. Please contact Jackie Lawman at j.lawman@asat-cofe.com if you would to visit the school.
