SCHOOL CLEANER - 13 3/4 hours per week - Monday to Friday (pm's)
Term Time and in the school holidays for Deep Cleaning (44 weeks per year)

We are looking to recruit a flexible, reliable, enthusiastic and hard working person to join our existing team of 3 cleaners in school. You will be joining an inclusive school who values all staff members as colleagues and friends. Our existing team have been working incredibly hard to protect the staff and children in the school during this pandemic and are keen to add to their number. A good understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment would be desirable. Training can be given.
We need a hard working team member who will prove to be reliable, conscientious and an asset to the school and their colleagues. In return we can offer you a friendly, hardworking team in a lovely, family orientated school with fantastic staff and children.

Information about the School
Mersea Island School currently has 380 pupils aged 2-11, this includes a nursery with capacity for up to 48 children. It is the only school on the island, serving a closely knit community. The school is located on Mersea Island, off the coast of Essex and close to Colchester. The area surrounding the school in the town of West Mersea is semi-rural. The island is famous for its oyster cultivation and traditional fishing boats, and has a history of sailing. Pupils derive from a very mixed social background, and many of the pupils have parents and grandparents who attended the school.
