We are seeking an outstanding individual to join our busy catering team as a Catering Manager in this all age special school. The successful candidate will lead and work in conjunction with our existing team to provide a healthy catering service to our school community and be responsible for budgeting and the operational efficiency of the catering service.
We work to Healthy Schools guidelines and are invested in providing high quality meals to pupils aged 5-16 across a number of lunchtime sittings. There is a 3 week menu rotation provided with full instructions. The role is to lead and to be able to work as part of the team, preparing food according to given recipes and standards in a well-equipped kitchen.
The successful candidate will:
· Have ambition, enthusiasm and the desire to make a difference;
· Have excellent cooking skills;
· Have experience working in a similar environment, supervising staff and managing a budget;
· Be able to create a menu that is attractive to our school community;
· Work well as part of a team

Information about the School
The St. Christopher School is a specialist special school for Communication & Interaction for pupils aged 3 - 19. We work with a wide range of pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, communication & interaction difficulties and range of learning difficulties. The school is part of SEN Trust Southend.
SEN Trust Southend opened as a formal partnership on 1 September 2017. The four special schools, The St. Christopher School, Kingsdown School, Lancaster School and St. Nicholas School have always worked closely together to create a strong group of special schools which aim to meet the majority of needs of those pupils who require specialist support in a specialist educational school with Southend. We created the Multi-Academy Trust to help us continue this work.
