We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our team to work as a classroom Learning Support Assistant. The role is for 15 hours per week for the 38 weeks of term time only. The working hours are from 9:00 to 12:00 from Monday to Friday. There is also an opportunity of an additional 1.5 hours of work per day helping to supervise positive play at lunchtimes, which would be paid at Scale 1 (FTE £17,842)
The Learning Support Assistant role involves:
- Working under the guidance of a class teacher to deliver planned learning activities and interventions;
- Promoting and supporting positive behaviour;
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress and providing feedback to children as necessary;
- Working constructively as part of a wider team in the classroom and the school;
- Working flexibly to support other team members as required and building positive relationships with staff and parents.
We are looking for someone with good literacy and numeracy skills, and you must have a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at grade A to C. Home Farm Primary School is part of The Alpha Trust.
